Gagan & Mike - Indian Pre-wedding Rituals in Calgary

 It all starts when Mike shows up at Gagan's door:

 No, this is not a hotel. It's still Gagan's house. Land is very fertile in the Alberta prairies:

 The Kurmai ceremony is short and sweet:

 Because of all the sweets:

 Chunni ceremony follows:

 It's a very eye-catching ritual, with lots of bling for the future bride:

 Now she's ready to be proposed to:

 We have green light for the wedding:

 Gagan gets her mehndi done the next day:

 The maiya ritual comes on the third day:

 After a shower, the bride to be is ready for the final pre wedding ceremony:

 Choora or chura

 This is when her maternal uncles put her wedding bangles on:

 In the same time, in a different corner of Calgary, a super rangoli is created:

 It's for the super groom to be:

 There's enough vatna for everybody:

 Maybe too much:

 While Mike will take shower:

 Everyone else starts the jaago:

 A fresh Mike joins in:

Looks like the party is just getting started, but the wedding day is tomorrow, so I recommend some rest for everyone.
