Deepi & Sunny - Punjabi Wedding Festivities - The First 3 Days

Starting off with Sunny's maiya ceremony:
This consists mainly of vatna being applied on the future groom's skin. Somebody is eager to learn:
But when you tell a little boy that he can apply it anywhere, nothing is safe. Not even the glasses:
 Or the eye:
Nevertheless, Sunny seems to enjoy every second:

 Next is Deepi's mehndi:
The front yard is always a good choice for some pictures:

The following day, the future bride is waiting for her prince, at the Mirage Banquet Hall:
 He comes with gifts, flowers:
 And a proposal:
Luckily, she says yes, so the festivities can advance. There are plenty of presents:
 For him:
 And for her:

We are spoiled with some incredible performances:

The mood for jaago is set:
I've seen chaj's punished before, but this one must have done something really bad:

 It's time for Deepi's maiya:
A rangoli made entirely from rice. Looks rather yummy:

 Off to showers:
She looks like she needs help to get out of the bathroom:
Nothing further from the truth. This is, in fact, a ritual where her maternal uncle is carrying her in order to put the wedding bangles on:

She's now ready to get married:
Sunny has one last party night ahead, at the Maharaja. Karamjit Singh Mundri and Raj Kamal set the tone:

The wedding day is a few hours away, so I say good night for now.
