Popular Picture of the Day or What Not to Do with MY Wedding Photography

When it comes to photography,  while  not all my ideas are original, I ’ ve always put a lot of effort, hours and days of location scouting, brainstorming and passion into creating unique images:   That ’s probably the reason I can’t escape a feeling of satisfaction when it comes to my work and calling my pictures  ‘ my pictures’. But, apparently, there are others who are proud to call my pictures  ‘ their pictures ’ . I actually lost count of how many times that  happened  in the past. However, every now and then there are some photographers who actually advertise their businesses with my photos: Kijiji,  Facebook  or billboards in India , they are all fair game. Well, not really fair. The funny thing about these last two is that I found out about them in the same day. Naf & Aleem - Ismaili Pre-wedding Rituals in Edmonton

 The Ismaili wedding ceremonies last about 4 days and everything is showered with flower petals.  The colourful glitter is added to the mehndi design solely for picture purposes.  Something like this:  Shyna, the bride's sister is bringing holy water from jamatkhana:  In order to maintain the purity of the water, she's not allowed to speak or even smile before she hands the gari over to the bride's mother:  Not such an easy task because she wants hard cash in exchange:   During the Mandhvo, four uncles bring pineapples to the bride's house and place them in the four corners of the room.
