Emily & Matthew - Wedding at the Convocation Hall and Hotel Macdonald
Matt: "I took her to Jasper Park Lodge for the weekend. Romantic canoe ride on the lake followed by a picnic lunch. I didn’t even finish my sandwich. Not even sure I got down on one knee. But to hear “Yes” after I asked her to marry me was truly amazing. Never had I felt more in love with her. Now I feel that same love every day."
The reception starts in the morning. Sorry, I mean the getting ready. I got a little confused by the decor:
Whatever it is, the bride is always surrounded by her maids:
Probably Sunita and I should open a photomakeup business. We're working together all the time, anyway:
I was looking for the wedding gown to get some shots and I found it here. But I'm a professional, I would never take pictures like this:
So I relocate it in a more appropriate setting:
Matt sent an early gift to his bride-to-be:
Don't read it, if you don't have a Kleenex close by:
Speaking about the groom, he's almost ready, as well:
Onkar is with him and his groomsmen to get some embarrassing pictures, if possible:
Emily: "Matt, I remember being asked how I knew you were the one. And my answer? I’ve honestly never been with someone who has made me feel so safe. Thank you for sharing you, your life, and your incredible family with me. Today is the happiest day of my life. I love you and I cannot wait to be your wife."
Everybody is directed with clear signs towards the Convocation Hall, at the University of Alberta:
The Kitka Quartet sets the mood:
Here comes the bride with her mom.
You can see, hear and feel the love throughout the whole day, but there are some moments when emotions can't be restrained.
The newlyweds don't miss any opportunity to hold hands:
Matt's excited and he's not afraid to show it. For some reason, this just makes my day:
We change the location for the reception.
Doesn't really get more exquisite than Fairmont Hotel Mac:
One of the rare best men who's also the father of the groom:
I'll drink to that!
Well, it's quite impressive disposable cameras still exist, but it's downright unbelievable people still know how to use them:
Speeches are a good time to laugh and cry:
Occasionally, at the same time:
There's a certain degree of witty insight into the couple's relationship that can only be reached through the sagacious (yes, I make a point of learning new words all the time) shoe game:
Well, this is number 37 (if I remember correctly). I don't know the Hole family history, but this is actually really funny:
The rollercoaster of emotions doesn't stop.
Congratulations one more time, Emily and Matt! Thank you so much for inviting me to your profoundly touching celebration!
