Deepi & Sunny Are Off to a Great Start

  Sunny: "I am lucky to have someone like Deepi, who is an innocent and playful soul with so much love in her heart. She's always bubbly and in high spirits. Nothing can hold her down. Her presence is warm and her smile is uplifting. She possesses all the traits of a life partner for me....

I look back to our past and how we have gotten to this point of becoming husband and wife. It's been an amazing journey. But why look back at the past?   Deepi: "First time I saw Sunny 10 years ago, I had a funny feeling he was the one for me. Years passed by without us talking but he was always in the back of my head. Then in 2010 a Facebook message from him changed my life and now I'm married to the love of my life. I truly believe some people are meant to be together."

 The 5th day of the wedding festivities finds Sunita doing what she loves. Well, it's makeup and hair styling, but she really likes to spray:


 The main event of the preparation phase is, however, the tying of the bowtie. YouTube tutorials prove quite useful:

Farah & Rahim - Ismaili Wedding at the Sheraton Cavalier

Ruppy & Indy - Punjabi Wedding at the Magnolia in Calgary

This year I had more weddings in Calgary than Edmonton, and the Ramada has become one of my second homes. But this is not about that. This is about a Punjabi love story filled with emotions, hunting trophies and party light sticks. It starts as expected, with the bride getting ready at her home. Before anyone else, she makes her way inside the gurdwara, where she'll go into hiding for a couple of hours or so, waiting for everyone else to come.
